How to find us:
Our address is:
The village of Cottered is in the heart of rural Hertfordshire – yet also so close to London, Cambridge, the A1, M11 and M25.
Once you reach the village, here is how to find us:
Coming from the West/A1/Baldock:
Continue eastwards on the A507 to Cottered. After passing the village sign for Cottered the road bends sharply to the right, you then come to the first house in the village on the right side “Peartree Cottage”.
The entrance to Bethnal & Bec is immediately after the garage of Peartree Cottage, follow the drive straight into the courtyard and park under cover in the carport
Coming from the East/A10/Buntingford:
Continue westwards on the A507 and drive straight through the village.
As you come to the end of the village you will come up to a tight right bend, just before the bend is a house on the left with a blue plaque. The first drive on the left after the chevron is the driveway to Bethnal & Bec.
Arriving by train:
Stevenage Train Station is just 23 mins from London Kings Cross.
Bethnal & Bec are just a 15 minute drive from the station. There are plenty of taxis available outside the station. Alternatively we can, with prior agreement, offer a pick up or drop off for just £15 each way.
Arriving by plane:
Our closest airports are London Stansted (32km) & London Luton (34km).
Once again, with prior agreement, we can offer a return journey from either airport for £100.
You will have access to free private parking at Bethnal & Bec in our car port.
Gaining access to your luxury retreat:
Directly opposite the car port is the private entrance to the retreats. We have a system for keycode access and key safes, which we will share with you at the time of booking confirmation – your time at our luxury rural retreat is your own, although we will be on-hand if you need us.
